Just attended Cricut Freestyle ($10) at Katie's World in Stockton Friday night.  Started using my Cricut Expression2.

Saturday attended Disney Crop at Katie's World.  Got some pages made.  Great crop.  Did my Project Life swaps for Mothers Day cards and Disney swap.  I completed the All About Him Anna Griffin card kit.  I made 5 different layouts using my Cricut Expression 2.  As part of the crop, we received three 2 page Disney layout kits.

May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii

Aloha Everyone -- Today is Lei Day here in Hawaii and it was a beautiful day.  I was blessed and I was able to attend church this morning at Cornerstone. I road with my friend, Marisa, when she went to get her kids from the Anime convention last night and she dropped me off at my sister's home in Mililani Mauka.  So, I got to attend 2nd service today. It was a great service from Pastor Charley.  He is doing a series on Resilience and today was on Matthew 6:33.  Mainly about not worrying.  Pastor Charley got our attention right off the bat by putting on this huge free weight that must have been like 30 lbs with a white rope around his neck.  Last week he used the two basketballs that looked that looked the same but one was bouncy and the other was flat.    One thing stressed was when we focus on the Lord and put our trust in Him and when we pray as He teaches us to pray, He said, 'Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallow be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, grant us this day, our daily bread, ... He didn't say many days, but daily...  God wants us to focus on Daily needs not to worry about down the road and to borrow worry from the future.  That is what stuck with me from this sermon.  At the end of the sermon, Pastor Charley put back on the big weight and showed how heavy that burden was.  We don't need to grab those burdens.

After church, Susan and I went to the Tea Fellowship meeting that Vicky chaired.  The Tea Fellowship is May 7th from 1130am until 2pm.  For the team hosting we are meeting next Friday to help set up and again Saturday morning to continue setting up.  KukaMalia is in charge of the table decorations.  Right now, there are approximately 20 ladies coming.  Should be a nice event.  Three of the women's ministry small groups will be showing their upcoming series books that they will be starting and two upcoming activities along with the Women's Island Conference at Ko'olau in August.

After lunch, I came home and called Joanna to leave her a message to wish her a happy Lei Day and to thank her for the beautiful paper.  I also called Arlyn and we had a nice chat.  God had me call Arlyn for a reason.  We prayed together.  Charles hopefully comes home on Tuesday.  I challenged Arlyn to tell someone a positive each day.  For myself, I have found that this has helped me so much in dealing with the depression side of my fibromyalgia.  God has shown me a way to be used by realizing that I can connect with others by noticing others through their clothes, hair, makeup  and such.  I was really doing this this morning in church.  This past week, each day I awoke feeling 'like the cat drug me in' so today I really made a point to hug the ladies and say something nice about each one of them.  Even when the music started, I just felt that I needed to keep right on doing that so I did until I got back to my seat.

Well, it is going on 1030pm and it is getting late.  Aloha for tonight.  nite nite sweet dreams  cc

Cricut Expression 2 is To Launch Soon

Wow!  Can't wait, in just a few short hours, the Cricut Expression 2, the 5th Anniversary edition of the Cricut machine will be airing on HSN.  I'm so excited.  Can't wait.  Several websites and Provo Craft are hosting events throughout the internet today.  To find out about these events, go to http://www.cricut.com/ .  One new site I joined today was http://mixologycrafts.wordpress.com/ which announces all kinds of information regards the Provo Crafts products.   I found the latest Hello Thursday releases there and there was even a chance to win a new Cricut Expression 2 by leaving some comments on their blog.

Just a few short hours -- can't wait -- for those who have been thinking about a cricut, I want to say, that the Cricut Expression is awesome.  It has a touchscreen so there is no need for the overlays.  This will be wonderful for those with arthritis and me with fibromyaligia.  It also can work with some of the Imagine cartridges (Art cartridges).  It has a memory so when you make a speed and depth cut for your paper thickness, it will remember it.  You also can paper placement on you mat.  All things I know I will love about the Cricut Expression.  So I can't wait.

For those who register their machines by June 1st, you will receive 500 reward points (cricut circle receive 1000 pts).

Birthday Card Made for CMC Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I made this card for CMC Birthday Challenge and I used my Magnolia stamp and copics.  I'm still learning how to blend with the copics.
I went to Tripler on Wednesday and got my IV iron serum and am still adjusting to it.  So, this weekend I'm resting.  I have noticed that my hands and feet sure feel different like they have been chapped all the time.
Sure glad the Senate and House signed a stop gap measure to extend benefits until the end of next Thursday, but we'll probably be back to the same situation next Thursday (just kicking the can down the road).
Hope you enjoy my card.

I'm planning to work on my Easter cards this weekend.
Aloha

Wonderful Sunday in Paradise

Greetings Everyone
Yesterday afternoon, my sister picked me up and I got to spend the time with my sister, the boys and Natalie and Nina over at my sister's.  Susan made burokes.  Boy, they were so awesome.  It was so nice spending time together as family.

Today, we all went to Cornerstone in Mililani Mauka.  Pastor Westbrook's sermon was on Brokenness.  Boy, I totally related to what he was saying.  It seemed like so much of my life was what he was talking about.  I just kept nodding my head yes throughout his sermon because what he was saying was so true.  I was so dizzy this morning so I just took it easy today.  Just tired too.

This afternoon we took naps.  Susan drove Natalie, myself and Nina back to the house.  I'm so wiped out.  I don't know why I'm so tired.  I know God has this issue with my iron levels in his plan and I know on the 6th I have the IV serum thing.

Tonight I saw 60 minutes on how the banks (Wells Fargo, Citi, HSBC, Bank of America etc.) were using this company called .doc to phoney up documents and now the foreclosure documents going through the courts have this Linda Green name on it that have many different signatures with that same name and the notary knew that it wasn't this lady.  It was suppose to be a real search but it was short circuited to make the money.  So now it is leading to more court cases and countersuits.  Not good!

Aloha for tonight!

Here is one card I made for the Color Me Creative Classroom Challenges.  These are my fifth try at copic coloring.  I have a long way to go, but I am working on it.  These are my second Magnolia card I made using copics so I'm really pleased with that.
